The do88 Charge Pipe Kit for BMW B58 Gen 2 is a high-performance upgrade designed to address a known weak point in the factory charge pipe system. Found in models such as the M340i, the OEM charge pipe is prone to failure — even on standard vehicles — particularly under repeated load or track use. Upgrading this component is strongly recommended, especially for tuned or hard-driven cars.

Unlike many aftermarket options, the do88 solution has been engineered to properly handle thermal expansion and movement within the charge system. Rather than relying on a rigid connection with a simple silicone joiner, this kit utilises a 3-hump aramid-reinforced silicone hose, allowing movement in multiple directions without placing stress on the connections. This significantly reduces the risk of hoses blowing off or components failing under heat and pressure.

Performance is also improved through the use of larger diameter mandrel-bent pipework and smooth internal transitions, reducing turbulence and pressure drop. The system features CNC-machined connections throughout, including a throttle body flange and integrated ports for methanol injection or boost reference, making it suitable for both fast road and high-performance builds.

Please note, due to tight clearances on G-chassis vehicles, minor trimming of the slam panel may be required during installation.
